The Colorado Young
Farmers are pleased to announce the
implementation of the YOUNG FARMER
MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AND EXPANSION PROJECT.
It will be funded through sponsorship from
Mountain Plains Farm Credit and the
cooperation of Mike Flesher, Vice President
of Marketing.
The goal of the new
program is to increase membership in
existing local chapters and the formation of
several new chapters in the state.
The activities included
in the program are as follows:

Revising and
distributing the Young Farmer Manual
to every Agriculture Education
teacher in Colorado.

Present a Young
Farmer Workshop for the Agriculture
Education
teachers in
Colorado during their Summer
Institute in 2007.

Provide $175 to
each existing local chapter that has
paid 2006 state dues for a new
membership promotional activity.
-
Provide $175 to
a new chapter for a promotional
activity to encourage membership.
-
Funds would be
provided to pay state and national
dues for the new members for the
first year.

Each chapter
receiving funds will submit a
summary of the new member
promotional activity and the names
and addresses of new members.
Each active chapter
that has paid 2006 state dues may request
the $175 for a new member recruitment
activity by completing and returning the
special form which can be downloaded below.
However, the funds will be available
immediately
upon receipt of the request and approval.
You and your chapter
members are encouraged to take advantage of
this opportunity to participate in the
YOUNG FARMER MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AND EXPANSION
PROJECT.
